Hein-Werner HW93642 Rebuilt Kit Assistance

I have a HW93642 Floor Jack from the late 2000's that no longer pumps up; I assume it needs a rebuild.



During my search for a rebuild kit, I am coming across two different part #'s: 240530 and 248949. Both kits claim compatibility with the HW93642 but I have been unable to find an OEM catalog to validate.

Does anyone know which kit I need?

When I look at the pictures of both kits, I think both will work, depending on your jack version. Perhaps give the vendors a call to make sure. There is probably a sticker/label on the side of the jack somewhere that has a serial number indicating the manufacture date that the vendor could probably look up.

the 240530 kit looks to have 2 styles of seals for the pump piston. The older style was the 3 stacked chevron leather seals, the newer style uses the U cup seal. The 24949 set looks to only have the older 3 chevron seals. I’m not exactly sure when the seals got changed, I think it might have been around 2012ish.

I would call the phone number of the hydraulic shop that's in GJ member hiball's signature. He's our hydraulic jack expert, and if he recommends that shop, they are knowledgeable.
