    Heavy Duty Engine Hoist Build

Certainly the only person to lift a 7020 with an engine hoist. NICE!

    Heavy Duty Engine Hoist Build

its 3/4 plate. lift horizontally vs vertically. my grandfather would weld a horseshoe to the center and pick it up with the jib crane, I would use two chains, a couple clamps, and a $150 cherry picker. I'm an over engineer-er, but really, you guys on here are something else. Spend the time...

    jegs plasma $200

Yep. Used to go on ebay for less than two bills. Decent on sheetmetal, my biggest issue was the stiff plastic on the whip.

old New holland skid steer re-power and rebuild

I like this kind of thread, however it makes me feel like i cheated when we did the engine swap on the bobcat. (it has a completely different arm setup, so we just added on to the engine bay to fit the I5 engine)

Nice! I’ve seen a lot of the videos of it, it seems to weld pretty nicely, too. I think I’ll stick with my old 200 for now though.

Fabbing a new table, needs some tips

The size and organization of your space will determine a lot of the practical responses. A table built like a tank isn't something you want to have to wheel in and out of a corner every time you use it. If you're doing delicate work, you could throw a piece of ply on some sawhorses. believe it...

Best way to cut PT 4 X 4 fence post w/circular saw

If you're super worried, cut a hair short on all sides, and smack it to break the little nub that's holding on in the middle. Not exactly rocket surgery.

Rain gutter replacement TOY Land Cruiser

Shave it. I've got a similar issue with my 73 ford crew cab. Luckily it hasn't gotten into the drip rail yet, but the sheetmetal on the roof skin that is spot welded to it is gone. Maybe break it, and then roll it if it is doubled up. Don't forget the seam sealer!

How to safely lift a 460 lbs I-beam to about 9ft

Poor choices were at fault there. Threaded rod is out there holding up much more. But regardless, still recommend looking that up. I think I've learned as much from "engineering disasters" and related case studies than I have from all of my engineering course lectures.

How to safely lift a 460 lbs I-beam to about 9ft

Genie lift or roustabout would get you there. a bunch of beer, a friend or two would possibly be a bit cheaper and faster.
