The bearing on that rear end isn't pressed on it stays in the housing when axle is removed the rear end is a "C" clip design no bearing to cut off the axle.
No not a joke i have never been stumped with the weld washer and nut ever.

I have been using small tungsten's 1" long in a pin vise for years and they are quite useful and have been tig welding for 30 years.Yes you can break it but as a scribe they work very well.
