I have a leather one that fastens with snaps. Very flexible. There are zipper ones that are less flexible. I don't like a sleeve close to the torch end, it's annoying.

The far side of crazy.. but sometimes Australia
As a former rock climbing instructor, you won’t find an edge protector in lengths past around 3’. They are also very stiff, their job is to protect your anchor rope from abrasion which makes them less than ideal to use on a TIG torch.

Google TIG torch cover, there’s literally options falling from the sky to suit every taste and price point. My 26 cover is leather and my 17 is covered in some form of flame retardant synthetic, probably proban..

I've been using 25' nylon zipper covers for a few years. No complaints.
If you don't like zippers, they make them with Velcro to.
I've also used the leather versions both zipper and Velcro to, not bad.

I use a very thin leather cover that is held on with Velcro. Avoid the synthetic ones, they melt when sparks land on them. Especially avoid the ones with zippers. If a spark melts one spot on the zipper, then the whole thing is toast. Impossible to get off or back on correctly if the zipper won't work.

My leather ones are very thin, flexible, and I don't even notice they're there. I want to say mine are made by WeldTec, but I could be mistaken on that.

They do make a super heavy leather one, I would avoid that.

People who are neglectful will most likely be the ones who burn them up and ruin the zippers.
Personally, I don't have my torch strung out when I Mig so I don't have to worry about burning them or sparks landing on the zippers.
My covers are both Miller products.

American Weldquip sells a product called gun wrap. It is spirol plastic wire loom material but big enough to go over a MIG gun cable hose. It's pricey from AMW......4.00? foot but if you can find a generic alternative it is soooooo much better than traditional leather and nylon covers.

You can run the water cooled torch off city or well water and run the discharge to a drain. My rig has a solenoid water valve so it shuts off when the pedal is released.

It's never intentional, accidents happen. I have been on the frustrated end of zippered torch covers at several shops. I don't think it's always neglect.

When you're jamming on a project that takes both MIG and TIG, grinding, or have several guys working at once, I'm not gonna coil up the leads 10 times a day.

I'm just sharing my experience. In a home hobby shop a zipper will probably work fine. I just won't have them in my shop.

I understand using one for cable management on a water cooled gun. Does anyone use one on an air cooled gun?
One of the things you pay extra money for is a flexible lead cable, then putting a cover over that seems like it defeats the purpose.
There’s no crying in baseball, and there’s no sparks in TIG

I use weld tec or CK covers now. Used to use rolls of heat shrink, made cleaning for high purity/cleanroom work easier.

I'm thinking about trying hydraulic hose covers for my field work air cooled torches next time I need a cover though, there's some nice seamless Kevlar stuff out there that I could just fish the lead through.

In the only town in Pennsylvania, Bloomsburg.
The seller does not say what machine they come off of, they are unused, 24ft. They are leather and should last, dark blue. The Velcro is nice, would not want zipper or buttons . Next best would be buying covering with a name on it...I just hate paying for companies to advertise on stuff I pay for, making me pay 2x-3x as much for the privilege.
