I like the lid too but I use it as a shelf when I making stuff and it's kind of annoying that it will then lock the drawers. I might need to remove the lock bar. I've also moved the storage tray down and added another one to the other side.
I love my mid torque. It's a whole lot more powerful (3x by the stats) than the compact 1/2" drive and it's still light and small. The high torque looks neat but the bulk and heft isn't something that looks convenient for household tasks
The M18 compact impact is the same size for 1/4 hex, 3/8 drive or 1/2" drive. The mid torque 1/2" is slightly larger and the high torque 1/2" is big.
I'm slightly confused as the title says m18 but the link is M12 which is more compact
I spent the last few days cutting, chopping and welding an old truck box.
Pile of parts to start with
Box cut and bumper modified to fit 3" higher than stock and 3" closer to the body
Box cut and tailgate laid in place before final welding
Lights lit for fun and wood laid out for the...
I picked up a few things at the local auction place yesterday. 53x30 welding table with a 1/2" plate top and 3/8" thick 4x4 legs. Turned out to be way heavier than what I need but it'll work. Also got a 16 speed drill press and a bench sander.
Nice set up for sure but I'd rather not have so many drawers to go through and so much open space in each drawer. I feel like I have a good portion of the same hand tools stuffed in a triple bank.
I think meeting him in the middle at $4k would be a pretty good deal. Even a steal on an 68" Epiq around here is $5500 and the 1032 is bigger and has more drawers
I paid $4k for mine and I think it was a good deal in pretty good shape. Definitely one of my favorite boxes on the market. The 54" drawers are awesome!
This might give you an idea of the space you'll have
That box flat out swallows tools.
