    hacksaws?

I finally hooked up my dust evac system for my blast cabinet today. I tried it out on an old Ford wrench, and a couple of other things. It works well. The red & black wires are for the LED lights the previous owner installed. I will straighten that up. Now I can restore some of my saws that need...

    Vintage wood lathe

Can anyone identify this old wood lathe that I plan to restore? I can find no name or number anywhere on it. There are two holes in the metal cover about 2 inches apart where I suspect the tag was. Thanks.

    Stanley level 42-509

Yeah, I buy all I find for $5 or less, levels that is. And my companion is a 4 year old, 16 lb male Chiweenie. He loves my wife and me and we love him.

    Stanley level 42-509

Thanks. I should have looked a little more before my first post. Anyway, I have began a collection, of which I will post a pic or three. This, I believe, is my first lighted one.

    weird Stanley Level...

I have only one double bubble level in my collection. I'll dig it out and post a pic or two.

    Stanley level 42-509

Aha! My little helper and I found where the AAA batteries go. I had no new AAAs to put in. Everything inside looks good so I'll pick up some batteries and try it out. Apparently it is lighted. I will clean it up and add it to my collection.

    Stanley level 42-509

I bought this little level at a flea market for a buck or two. Seeing the on/off button I figured it either had a laser or was internally lighted. Now that I have it I can't figure out why it has the switch. There is obviously no laser and I can see no place for batteries. Anyone know?

Neat saw. I don't think I have one like it.

    Lathe & tool puzzle

Along with all the good stuff I got with my new (to me) Logan lathe, I got this. The 1/2" socket is WELDED on. Why would someone do that, and what would it be used for? Thanks.

    First time lathe owner

I just bought my first lathe, a 1943, I believe, Logan model 200. I had a friend that knows much more about lathes than I, check it out. He says it is in great shape. It came with both 3 & 4 jaw chucks , the milling attachment, and other things. I plan to clean it up and learn how to use it...

Do wood lathes include three & four jaw chucks?

    hacksaws?

My latest find. I believe it is my first Spartan brand saw. I paid a couple of dollars at a local flea market.

    Handsaw collecting

When I get into something new, like I now have handsaws, I think about all the ones I have moved out of my way at flea markets and yardsales to look at a hacksaw. Probably passed up a lot of good buys.

Yeah, I'd go back and delete all if I could.
