@d42jeep @four.cycle The more I look at this I'm thinking this may be a #2701 3/8drive set. It's 9 1/2" wide and 3" deep. The D-I 1/4 drive sockets and flex handle that came with it may just be misplaced. Gonna see if I can find some 1948 3/8 drive 2700 series sockets and see how they fit...

Did we ever get a resolve to the #2801 1948 to 1952 quandry? I got this 2801 set off Ebayzz. It's obviously after the 1948 catalog but prior to the numbering change in the 1952 catalog.

Hey, I found a Thorsen 56J 3/8 drive 9" extension the other day. Checked the 1931, 1960s, 1980s catalogs and don't see the 56J. Is it a unicorn?

Don, I just got this in. It's a Indestro Super Quality box with D-I sockets and the #2850 flex handle. The box is 9 3/4 × 3 1/4 so similar to your Duro blue box but this one appears more OD green (and Indestro). Not seeing it in the 1935 catalog so unsure what's supposed to be stocked in it...

Here's a new one. Unbranded. Heavy steel, 1/2" drive 1/2" 12 pt socket, knurled diamond pattern at the very bottom, tapered. Thinking possibly SW but I don't remember seeing anything like this one? Thoughts anyone?
