I'm using Ubiquiti Cameras as well. My runs go from a patch panel in my basement, up through the walls, then out into the soffit's of the ground level. I ran the cable through the waterproofing membrane that Ubiquiti supplies with their camera's and then terminated a RJ45 connector onto the end...

On to some security bits. I've played around with a few camera systems but settled on a UBNT solution for the house. For those that haven't heard of Ubiquiti, they make a lot of wireless point to point equipment, network equipment, etc, but also do video cameras. Prices are reasonable as well...

Decided to insulate the garage doors this weekend to make things more pleasant for the winter months in the garage. Huge benefit noticed almost immediately. I picked up some 1 inch Durofoam with a foil backing. The nice thing is I am getting the added benefit of light reflection off the foil...

They were pre-bent pieces I picked up at home depot. Just cut to length and glue to a straight piece to extend the distance you need and your good.

Couple more installs happening..... Picked up these 8 foot T8 Lithona Fixtures from Home Depot. Installed them on the lowest part of the bulkhead and fitted them with Phillips T8 4100k bulbs. Light output is now seriously increased in the garage. I know they are not LED, but I only spend a few...
