    Restoring Fiberglass Ladder.

Luck?! Lady luck is the cruelest mistress to depend on.OSHA would take that ladder out of service.Elsewhere what iI was told regarding a safety issue:this is not an osha regulated work place-My reply-Then iI refuse the job.I think they are a common ground of reason and law not to be...

    Compressor Tank Advice

Do not use. Also look up low hydrogen welding.Thing is,without that, you will tend to get cracks. Also any old tank is supposed to get recertified. Here, you need a permit to have a compressor.

    Best tools you've found

Lost and found-Lost 11/16 Craftsman combination wrench, found a low price older SK at the pawn shop to replace it.Used a 5 ft. breaker bar pipe on open end of wrench to snag one side of the claw into a frame notch and pry a car coil spring pocket back into welding position that had cracked...

    Fond Memories of Sears?

Actually, now that I think of it,I even miss my old Sears reel cylindrical blade push mower, the kind where you had to push forward to drive itself and the cutter blade. All manual. Bright medium army green it was.Us kids used it to reclaim overgrown areas of the yard.Tough work. Have not seen the...

Going to great lengths to break tools for warranty

Sounds like the people that use a "prorated battery for 6 years out of 7,and than want a complete refund,or replacement with a new one if it does not make the full 7 years. They just cannot be satisfied with what they have reasonably paid for.

    Air Tool Oil

Used all sorts I had on hand, but an upgrade in general would be the higher grade, synthetic 2 stroke motor oil.Its made to only need half the amount in the burn mix,and then my clothes did not reek after only 15 minutes running a saw or weed eater. Better than ATF.They also sell an organic chain...

Any chance of building a copy of or refaceing the tank nut at a machine shop? I also once wanted some glass Japanese, turquoise colored fish...

They are both no longer made.Keep both. You need one to use,and one to rebuild alternatly. The Hein Werner sold now is a chinese copy of the Lincoln/Snap on jack you have.I use my smaller size jack the most for suspension work, Jacking in a new coil spring/combined with compresser. What a job.
