    foundation depths and frost lines

I built in Strathmore, 28x29 detached. You don't need footings, they made a killer slap for me though, 24" thick for 3' around the entire perimeter and 6" concrete depth in middle. They then poured a 1' curb wall around entire pad (minus where overhead door was). The pad has had 0 issues in...

A good weld is always stronger than the metal itself. 6011 or 6010 rod has a tensile strength of 60000psi where typical mild steel is only 45000psi.

High Lift Garage Door (Need New Door or Hardware?)

I just got my high lift done as well, 9x8' door, 11.5' ceiling height, now I can have my 4 post set on top locks with a car on it, and open door fully to park a car underneath. I am very happy with the outcome!

    Added some Wiring

Hi Baron, Here is the car (excuse the garage mess). It's a 71 Chevelle project in the works right now, doing a 25.5 chassis, 295/55/15 drag radial, stock suspension (Wolfe rear and TRZ front). Nice cutlass! I just sold my 86 before Christmas that I had for 10 years (just a BBC/TH400/9"...

    Added some Wiring

I just moved into this house in December, the idrives are doing ok but I have heard that they are JUNK, when I get the highlift mod done to my single door, the idrive will be going away (it can't handle the highlift) and it's getting a liftmaster 3800. If iDrive dies on double door I have a...

    Got Cabinets and Counter Done

Thanks guys, I am not worried about them falling off, when I build one for my brother I will put a diagonal piece on the sides, but even if they tip, they are far enough down that they won't go anywhere. Still a ton of work to do in the garage, I will get better pics when it's closer to...

    Added some Wiring

Had to add some wiring to my new garage, it was drywalled so went with EMT and very happy with the outcome, looks nice and lots of room to add more. Ran 6/3 with 60amp breaker from House panel to sub panel: 1" EMT from Sub Panel to 12x12 junction box, 3/4" EMT down to Compressor plug 3/4"...
