Man I love that RaceDeck Red paired with the black. Great look. Watched the recent Barrett Jackson auction from Reno and it seemed like RaceDeck (or equivalent) was everywhere!

Not to be rude, but there are literally hundreds if not thousands of photos on this forum showing epoxy floors with a clear top coat. Do yourself a favor and invest some time in searching this forum and you will get more than enough information to make an educated decision.

Some cheap plastic covering from one of the big box stores, some painters tape and a little time you could cover your walls before grinding and save yourself the headache of having to wipe down newly painted walls. Just a thought.

FYI — I just added to the calendar on my phone which is synced with my work and home computer to do a 1 year update of the floor. I was reading through this thread "Epoxy Coat: 18 month review" and figured it would be helpful to others.

Can't answer that one since this is my first epoxy floor. Hopefully, I never have to find out.;)

I'll try and get the names of the products I used. They slip my mind right now. I used a Degreaser and Acid Etch from Home Depot. Separate products, not one combined. Standard stuff. Nothing too special.

The recommended amount of chips for FULL coverage for my square footage was 50lbs of chips. That is a lot of chips. I purchased 20 lbs. (+ the 2 lbs of chips I received from Legacy) and divided that into 4 equal bags to make it more manageable and to be able to see what I using once I reached...

Thanks. There were only a few areas where I had to cut in and the water heater was one of them. It wasn't realistic to remove the water heater and have my family functioning w/out hot water for a week. I taped off the base of the water heater and cut in with a brush when I did the epoxy primer...
