I ordered a 3-pak of cacl test . Should I test as soon as I get them or during another day when rain is expected? The moisture spots were only visible when it rained so I figured testing during rain would make sense. Thanks, Tim
Yes, sorry I mis typed . I meant high water table. I am going to do the calcium chloride test. That picture looks horrible. Think I'll have a stroke if my floor looks like that after all that work ! Thanks Tim
I have been getting ready to start a floor prep. Removing all my junk and finding a place for everything else has been a challenge. I did the low cost moisture test with plastic taped to the floor for 48 hours ; dry as a bone. This past week we had a full day of rain. When I got home that...
So my friend was by this weekend and the suv went in with 3/4 inch to spare. To answer your questions passnthru the Honda pilot is the suv and 7 feet sounds about right. Thanks, Tim
Thanks for your reply. I have looked at a few products on your website. I figured I could use the hd-124 in this temp. (30-40 degrees). Then in the spring I would prep the floor(clean, etch) and grind it smooth at that point as edger said. Would that make sense? And Would I need to clean the...
Yeah I have a lot of pitting so I would really like to start working on it little by little now. You didn't mention etching. Should I clean>etch>patch>grind now and clean>etch>apply epoxy in May or just save the etching to do once in May. Thanks for your advice. Tim
Good point . I would guess that the same would be true if that patch product was also an epoxy. So you suggest cleaning again prior to coating? Most of the floor damage was from the prior owner. I don't expect any grease, oil, etc to hit the floor from now till I install so I thought another...
Hello everyone,
This forum has been great! I've read all the threads and now have the confidence to epoxy coat my garage floor. But after some back and forth I've decided to hold off and do it in the spring as many threads have suggested. The floor is aprox. 350 square feet and is pretty messy...
Ok .. Thanks to everyone for pointing me in the right direction. A few clockwise turns on the up travel screw and the door is up another 3 inches. This is giving me an extra inch in height. I was hoping for more but it seems that I have maxed it out. Door is not going up anymore. We shall see. A...
Passnthru:
thats exactly right. It hangs in the opening just a smidge to low..Like 3/4 of an inch. If the door went up and back 6 more inches I would be in the clear. I checked my opener and I do have those screws. Would it be that easy? I hope so. I will try it tommorow.

the door...
Im looking to buy a new suv and took some measurements. When door is open the car doesnt fit. I think if the garage door would go back a few inches more the car would fit. I know nothing about these doors so if anyone can suggest how i would go about doing this? Thanks Tim
