Help! Liftmaster 8550W - no longer slowing down at limits

Hi, Weird thing happened today. My Liftmaster 8550W went crazy and I had to reset the up and down limits. Everything is working again but the open / close speed has increased quite a bit. I've also noticed that at the open and close limits it just jerk stops. Before it has a soft stop...

JSK ... this looks like a potential solve for my new home that is under construction. I'm trying to jam a GLE350d (71" height, 5000lbs) and GLK250 (66" height, 4300lbs) in a one car garage with a ceiling height of 12.6" (see attached). Oddly I need the bigger GLE on top. I was originally...

Garage Lift - Headroom available with Tracks?

Hey BobRae - just so I'm clear, you mean when the garage door is up, at the rear of the ramp the garage door hangs 2' from the ceiling?

Garage Lift - Headroom available with Tracks?

Can't call the garage guys yet - house isn't built yet (at planning stage - so need to give my architect correct specs). Sounds like your garage is a lot longer than mine. When on the lift, the cars will only be inset about 1.25' from the garage door. Sounds like a I need about 10"...

Garage Lift - Headroom available with Tracks?

Hi everyone, I am building a new home with a garage to store my two cars (using a Bendpak PL7000XR). The garage is 12'6" high, 12'10" wide and 20' long. The garage door is 8' high by 10' wide. I will be using a Liftmaster 8500 wall mount garage door opener. I am wondering how much room...

New Garage - Need Help Sizing Bendpak Lift

I don't understand this part. If no side clearance is needed and I am parked under the lift, how would I get out and of the car and to the home entrance (at the front of the garage) if there is zero clearance on both sides? Wouldn't I have to exit through the garage door in this case - as I...

New Garage - Need Help Sizing Bendpak Lift

Follow-up question for you guys... My garage is currently designed at 18'8" long and 9'3" wide. With a lift inside, how much space is reasonable to have on each side to make it comfortable exiting the vehicle? I've told my architect to widen the garage from 9'3" to 12', but I'm not sure that...

New Garage - Need Help Sizing Bendpak Lift

Checked it out - that lift is going to be a bit tight but thanks for the suggestion, didn't see the PLT6S previously. Looks like the PL7000 is my only option at this point.

New Garage - Need Help Sizing Bendpak Lift

Just noticed the PL-7000XR. Looks like a very small footprint that may actually fit in my small garage as is!

Just one is fine. We can unload before everyone before parking in the garage.

New Garage - Need Help Sizing Bendpak Lift

    Hi all, I'm building a new home. Due to space constraints, I'm being forced into a single car garage. The two vehicles I am trying to fit are: 1 - E350 (Length - 193in. / Width - 81.5in / Height - 57.1in) 2 - ML350 (Length - 190in. / Width - 84.3 / Height - 71in.) The garage is currently...

Bendpak HD9XW Installation in the "Truck shop"

PurdueSD - old post, but thanks for posting, I am looking at the same setup in my garage. Question - is it possible to have the ramps stay "straight", or do they always flop when the lift is lifted up? It looks like it will be hard to get a car underneath with the ramps flopping when lifted.
