Best way to patch popcorn ceiling

I am working with popcorn texture right now. I tried painting virgin popcorn, and once it gets wet with paint it peels off the ceiling in spots. I resorted to scraping it off, its really easy to scrape, and then skim coat , prime and paint. If you have to keep the popcorn, paint it with a...

Severely uneven gap at garage door threshold

It looks like the door itself is crooked, look at the horizontal lines on the door , and then at the siding. Adjust the cables if possible, if its not easy to do call in a garage door guy, be safe. Terry Just saw your 2nd pic, that changes what i posted above, replace the slab.

Terrible white staining (efflorescence?) on new slab

Mike, in your night time pic of the slab, the white rings around the low spots are from lime in the water you put on it. I have a stamped patio that looks the same way after i wash it down with the hose. They do not show up after a rain storm, just when i use the hose. Terry

Question on retaining wall foundation not done right

So the contractor over dug his trenches, and then just didn't order enough crete to make that up. Did they fill in the end of the trench with dirt once they figured out they would be short so that they could make the top flat? I would have your contractor saw cut back to where the footing is...

    Drywall splatter?

Is it hard like spray texture? You can probably scrape it off with a d-wall knife. I see you are in Pennsylvania so im guessing you will be doing smooth wall, and not texture or i would suggest just leaving it until after you finish it. It's not that bad you would have to return it. Terry

    How wrong is this

Most definitely not to code, exposed wires need to be inside conduit. I am guessing that the disposal was an add-on, and not originally installed when the house was built. If it is code, well:confused:. Terry
