    Finally acquired a Wilton!

Thanks, G, that's helpful to know. A Google image search turned up a couple threads in different forums of 835s with the same marking combination as mine has: http://www.thegaragegazette.com/index.php?topic=23084.0 http://rugerforum.com/phpBB3/viewtopic.php?f=1&t=168864 I've already used mine...

    Finally acquired a Wilton!

While roaming around yesterday, we stopped at an antique store and there sat a Wilton bullet vise on a really nice walnut dresser, in front of a couple of ceramic figurines. The context was humorous, but I found the vise intriguing. It is an 835, and the fellow was asking $195, but I brought...

Check out the toolbox that followed me home!

Had a few minutes before meeting a dinner date, so I popped into a local, downtown antique store. Yeah, yeah...another toolbox, likely overpriced...wait a minute - Penncraft! Not that average brand I see around here - wait - $6! Mine, mine, MINE! Couldn't believe it, the 'rust' is quite...

Better than a toolbox on sale

Let me tell you about our favorite Valentine's Day, from a few years ago. We ended up at the grocery store, at some point that day. She suggested we go to the card aisle, pick out cards for each other, show what cards we picked, then put them back. That's what we did, hugged, told each other...

BDT/NWMN: you're in luck! Her mother is a widow. Is 96 too old for you? :-)

Better than a toolbox on sale

Thanks, guys, for confirming what I know. We've been together for about eight years now. I never complain when she keeps adding to her 'to-do' list. She's usually right with me, trying to help, and this is a way she often pays me back. We've both been married before and know better than to...

Better than a toolbox on sale

What?! There's something better? My girlfriend had a PT appointment yesterday morning, in our nearby, medium sized city. Afterward, I didn't want to waste the journey for just that, so I drove to Harbor Freight. She actually came in with me, which is rare, and as we were leaving, she motioned...

Remington Rand, interesting company, another Clist want

Yep. I, too, have my father's Remington Rand 1911 .45. Nice!

Quick Opinion... 17 Min and counting.

It shows 56 bucks to ship it to Georgia. Ahhh, do it! I wanna see a member get that!

The VINTAGE toolboxes of Garage Journal!

Here's my Duplex top box I inherited from my brother back in the late '70s on top of an S-K roll cabinet I bought from a local mechanic in the mid '80s. Took this picture right before I put my new Horror Freight 13 drawer bottom box under the Duplex.

FYI : Harbor Freight Roller Cabinet Sale $339.99

Picked up the bottom box today, with a 20% off coupon. Got it home, filled it up, now I have to keep myself from going back tomorrow to get the top box! I feel bad not buying American, but it is a really nice box for the money.

    WTT: 2 new/old SK ratchets f/SO screwdrivers

Forgive me - I feel a bit guilty that my first post is a wheeler-dealer! I uncovered two S-K ratchets I got back in the early '80s and never used. They look just like new, may not have ever had a socket on them. Didn't turn well, though, so I took them apart, and put some white lithium in them...
