I was wondering the same thing. I was going to try this on older tools first that I don't care as much about. Kobalt 24 volt batteries have one extra cell compared to most other brands that use "20 volt" batteries.

These attachments also work with Black and Decker Matrix drills. The B&D batteries are interchangeable with Craftsman Bolt-On batteries. With slight modification the same batteries can be used on Porter Cable 20v tools.

I own 5 of the black rubber craftsman hoses. They stay outside year round. Yes they do turn your hand black as well as anything else they rub against and they do kink at times. But I have never had one fail on me. These are many times better than the black rubber hoses I got from Sam's club.
