I just bought these today. Really enjoyed using them and being able to use other manufacturers bits that I had.

Just bought them yesterday and will be returning ASAP, didn't realize it till I got home but the open end is very thick. I may try them out before returning though, just to see how the surface grip idea works.

Thanks. The ones in the green box still had the plastic wrap on it. Except for where the 1/2 socket was. That one seems to be new but older. There's a 1/2 sk ratchet there that still has the price sticker residue on it. Still shiny & unused..can't wait till I get to use them all.

I would think the roll pin is better since the set screw can back out unless you add some loctite to prevent that.

I used to work as an industrial mechanic & would sometimes get Stanley tools from Grainger. While at Wal-Mart I checked out some of the Stanley tools available & they seem inferior to what I have. Does Stanley make different grade of tools depending on who is selling them? I'm referring to basic...
