Probably because there is a forum for it. I would imagine that people that have questions would just go to another site that had a place to talk about such things. IMO, the lift is the MOST important part of a garage. Honestly, I'm surprised that wasn't the first forum on the list when...

I'm going to have to check that out. Maya isn't ideal for actually planning the garage. It's more for 3d animation, I just know it fairly well.

The same argument could be made about the flooring forum. Why have a designated forum for floor coatings, why not wall paint, ventilation systems, ceiling treatments, cabinets? The answer to "why," is that a lift isn't just a tool, it's something that have to design your whole garage around...

Lifts are an important part of a garage. It would be nice to see a forum devoted to them, their installs and discussion on different types. As is, I have to search the whole site for info.
