Above 1200 Sq/FT Cars, motos, gas & oil and such

Great setup! I am a bit disappointed that there isn't an Audi R8 TDI sitting in there. Not that the rest of the collection isn't impressive enough. I would just prefer to the R8 to all those combined. Ok, now I'll go back to my Passat Wagon. :P

    3d modeling of a garage

Yeah, the dimensions will be the same size and I'll match the siding so that the garage looks original. Like this:

New build: Arts & Crafts style garage in historic neighborhood

Closing date is set, and I already have tons of pictures. Here's a photo with the garage 3d modeled and photoshopped into the picture: Although, I'm going to ditch the garage's gable and go with craftsman style roof brackets instead. And here's my favorite angle of the house: Thanks for...

    A Lift Forum

:deadhorse And just to beat this into the ground. When you search for threads that contain the word "lift" it maxes out the results with 500. Seen here: http://www.garagejournal.com/forum/search.php?searchid=2455011 So yeah, it would probably just be "ghost town" forum.:rolleyes2

    A Lift Forum

Probably because there is a forum for it. I would imagine that people that have questions would just go to another site that had a place to talk about such things. IMO, the lift is the MOST important part of a garage. Honestly, I'm surprised that wasn't the first forum on the list when...

That makes for the one and ONLY thing I don't like about being a Mac guy, no Solidworks for me.

    3d modeling of a garage

I'm going to have to check that out. Maya isn't ideal for actually planning the garage. It's more for 3d animation, I just know it fairly well.

    3d modeling of a garage

The photoshopped photo isn't true to scale. The garage will be all the way in the back, right corner of the lot (as shown in the picture). That will actually leave enough room to drive past the garage and into the back yard. The driveway will be widened as well, so you should be able to pull...

New build: Arts & Crafts style garage in historic neighborhood

Good job on keeping it period appropriate. I'm closing on a house, in Portland, that was built in 1912. I've already started designing a garage rebuild, where keeping it to the period is the focus. Well, and being able to have a lift in it as well. What kind of lift are you going for?

    A Lift Forum

The same argument could be made about the flooring forum. Why have a designated forum for floor coatings, why not wall paint, ventilation systems, ceiling treatments, cabinets? The answer to "why," is that a lift isn't just a tool, it's something that have to design your whole garage around...

    A Lift Forum

Lifts are an important part of a garage. It would be nice to see a forum devoted to them, their installs and discussion on different types. As is, I have to search the whole site for info.
