Thanks guys, I do have a THL72 that I love using, was just feeling bad about the 830 collecting dust and figured I'd ask if there are any upgrade paths or maybe even conversion to 1/4 bit driver or anything like that.

Yea it's dead. I ripped off the little tabs from the old battery and welded on a spare 18650 I had. It's alive! With these lights now getting older and older hopefully this thread will help someone(my rep said can't help and offered a (decent) rebate on a new one).

Few years old, lightly used(not in a shop). Shows 3 battery bars then quickly goes to 4 bars(full) battery. Will turn on if plugged in, turns off as soon as I unplug it. I'm guessing a dead battery? Opened it up, Seems to be a 18650 with a little PCB. Anyone had any luck replacing this? I don't...
