That's why I like the Lang gap tool. You guys need to use the little slot in the end to hook the plug and bend it open. The ramp isnt used as the gapping tool; it's meant for measuring only. To close the gap, tap the plug on a hard surface, to open it, use the end of the tool. It's the best...

I bought a snappy 1/2 on Ebay for $115. I wanted a used one because I do not like the etched markings on the neq ones...I wanted engraved. Gave it to the snap on guy and for around $75 I had it rebuilt and calibrated. Better than $400 for a new one.

I have a pair of knipex at work that ****! The teeth have rounded off and they hardly grip anything. I’ve had the best luck with the USA vise grips and the new Milwaukee’s.

If you try to “get away with” using 1/4 and 1/2 in lieu of 3/8 I think you will find yourself frusterated rather frequently. There are times where a 1/4 will not give you the reach, leverage, or acces you would get with a 3/8. Likewise, 1/2 is larger and access to tighter areas will become...

I shoot mine with WD-40 if they are sticky. I find that the stuff usually evaporates before the next time you use it, so you don’t need to worry about it attactng dirt while sitting there.
