    Rustoleum Basement vs Garage

I called Rustoleum today and they confirmed that they are both 2-part water based epoxies, but the garage version has more solids and is much more durable. The only con to it is that it has about a 3hr pot life vs a 15hr pot life for the basement stuff. The sheen is also different, basement is...

    Rustoleum Basement vs Garage

Im looking for something simple and cheap for my relatively low traffic basement. I was going to get some "basement" version, but I see the "garage" is the same price. I wonder if it holds up better? I do see that the basement is "gray satin" and the garage is "gloss gray". Both are water based...

Epoxy for recently leveled basement floor

Hi all, I've been doing some research here, but most is related to garage floors. I have an old basement and just had the floor leveled. The old floor was ground up so any loose bits were removed, a layer of epoxy water mitigation, then a layer (up to 2" in places) of self leveling cement was...

    Basement floor advice

Interesting. Good to know. Did it scratch through the epoxy or just scuff the sort of glossy finish? I'll have big metal shelving down there, typical wood working tools. Not super high use or heavy duty, but it'd **** to have to consciously be careful all the time. Is Rustoleum's similar...

    The Best Light Fixture Ever!

I'm driving myself insane trying to choose 4ft twin-tube LED ready fixtures and compatible T8 LED tubes. Some of the earlier recommendations in this thread and others for both fixtures and bulbs are discontinued. What's the latest recommendation? It's for a basement workshop/laundry with low...

    The Milwaukee addiction thread! :)

No, it's static friction. Inertia is actually quite specific and well defined. The rotational analog to Force = mass * acceleration is Torque = inertia * angular acceleration. The inertia (based on its mass and geometry) of a nut is insignificant in relation to the large torque we're applying...

    The Milwaukee addiction thread! :)

Hah I didn't want to get into it but my implied point was to not limit yourself to only one brand. I have Milwaukee stuff too! And Makita! Dewalt has the cordless nailers down. If I want a 3/8" impact, I go Milwaukee.

    The Milwaukee addiction thread! :)

I've been using the Dewalt 20V finish nailer for a few months now to shoot 16ga finishing nails doing a lot of trim work. Works perfectly and is dead consistent. I totally love it.

    gearwrench ratchet suprise

All my GW is less than two years old. I'm not a pro but i wrench on the race car often and I've never had that happen. I have had a 84t ratchet jam when i used it as a hammer. I had to take the cover off and reset the pawls to fix it.

    gearwrench ratchet suprise

The 120XPs are much nicer than the 84, imo. My 1/4 flex head 120xp might be my favorite too. Perfect size for 8,10,11,13mm engine bay type work. I'm slowing upgrading all my 84 to 120. GW sockets are quite nice as well. Really hard to beat.

Starting from scratch: Milwaukee M18/Fuel vs Dewalt 20v

Dewalt is building more of their stuff in the USA. I'd get one of the 20V XR (brushless) USA combo kits. Milwaukee has more automotive tools, particularly their M12 line compared to dewalts 12V. Dewalt has more construction/builder type stuff. For example their cordless nailers are very...

    Upgrading 1/4" sockets

My new Gearwrench 1/4" sockets seem better made and snugger fitting than my mid '90s craftsman USA. They also have large size numbers machined into them. The numbers are big but the contrast isnt the greatest being all chrome. I use them and a long handle flex head 120xp all the time on my car...
