Its an 8100W (.75 hp, 8 inch wheels) with a full pedestal set up. It runs smooth and everything appears to be in great shape. Looks practically brand new to me other than the surface dust its collected ...
I did the same thing with USA Craftsman when I got started. It was the easiest route to get a base set of workable automotive tools, back when HF didn’t exist.

No. I’ve never gone into a HF and hope I never do. Nothing wrong with it if that’s what you can afford.

I bought it about 10 years ago. Was testing drag launches in 1 psi increments and got fed up with the cheapies from Jegs breaking on me. 1% accuracy.
It’s hard to read the dial though unless you really take your time. I use a digital Cornwall rebrand for day to day.

However, reminds me of my first craftsman set in the clear plastic bag with a snap. To get one out you had to dump the whole bag and start guessing on sizes. Far from ideal.

Another option that’s worked well for me is buying truck brands lightly used. The pawn shops in Houston are full of them (non-digital at least). Easy to find at +/- 35% of list price. I have them calibrated for $35 and another $30 if they need repairs and Im good to go.
