What did you do "IN" your garage today?

Replaced the driver's side CV shaft on my 2006 Ram 1500, changed the oil, and replaced the McGard wheel lock nuts with some stock lugs (I misplaced my key socket twice this year... it was the last straw) Tools I used: -Proto 18" breaker bar - 1/2 drive -Proto 1/2" ratchet -Mastercraft maximum...

Help getting started fixing my cars.

Post some pictures of what you did tonight... I think we want proof ha ha. But on a serious note... tearing stuff apart when you don't have the new parts on hand actually might help you to be more organized, especially dealing with auto work. I find that if i'm not itching to throw in that shiny...

    Spot weld cutter suggestions (brands)

+1 on the Blair Rotabroach, adequately lubricated. Use a small drill bit to allow the center guide to ride. Plus the tool is modular since the cutting head is threaded on, so swapping tips is easy. Blair also offers various other tips that use the same setup. I really like mine and have used it...

    Mastercraft step drill bits

I bought them last year at that price, and for $10 I have gotten my money's worth drilling/sizing holes for plug welds, firewall HVAC lines, and even pot holes in homemade guitar pickguards. If used properly for the correct application (<1/8" material with lubrication) you can get your money's...

New Britain Tool Husky 3/8 set

Thanks everyone. I had read up the CB-45 patent and it seems it was first put on the shelf in 1961. It just didn't scream early 60's to me. I can see late 70's taking into account the plastic case. I have the metric set as well with the same ratchet. They feel great for a smaller sized 3/8.
