    HD extension cords

my all-time favorite cords are "Frog Hides". 12 ga 100' i believe they're SJOW. Super flexible all winter long, i've owned them for close to 10 years and the ends are even still good ! Pricey but worth every penny.

Should I have a dedicated breaker for circulation pump?

Dedicated appliance, dedicated ckt and single receptacle. You don't want nuisance tripping knocking out your pump.

    double check me electrical

#2 al is fine, but only good for 90 amps, change breaker. voltage drop should be acceptable at that distance. You don't need conduit, just run it thru attic supported nicely. You don't list your location, if it gets real hot in that attic you might want to go up a size on wire, de-rating wire...

100 Amp Subpanel Ampacity Sizing Question

Technically, most services and subs are wired incorrectly. Just because someone's using THHN or any other wire listed in the 90*c column of 310-15 (B) (16) doesn't mean that's the correct column to use. Most (if not all) lugs and equipment are only rated at 75*c. This is actually the correct...

How would you push a cable in an underground conduit?

typically, i cut three sides of a small square hole in bottom of downspout and pull it down with snake. afterward, just fold the "lid" of the hole over, barely noticeable.

    water in air lines ?

hey all, I'm about finished installing my rapidair line system. I'm putting an outlet on 3 walls in main floor and one upstairs. I ran the tubing along the sill on top of the footing walls, I'll box it out later effectively creating a "chase" for future wires, etc. My question is, by keeping...

Wiring Atlas Lift... this makes no sense

Also, at the bottom of the diagram it states 220v/60hz/single phase. But inside the diagram the motor is listed at 50 Hz. I would look at actual nameplate rating to see.

Wiring Atlas Lift... this makes no sense

Motors are fed differently than other loads... The short ckt/grd fault protection is sized for the motor. The "heaters" or fuses, or in this case the thermal overload inside, is sized for the wires. Motors are often fed by large ckt breakers on small wire. Most every fixture wire on any...

    Future proofing...

Given the chance, I always run a 3 wire even for 240 volt applications. This way I always have a neutral there if I need it. Sometimes you want to change to a multiwire 120 volt ckt, or maybe a 120 volt tap, ya never know.

    exterior EGC splice question

yes, run the stranded the whole way. No splice needed. Stranded is often used on roof as well.

    exterior EGC splice question

First off, kudos for considering your code compliance even though there's no electrical inspector...my in-laws are up your way and i've seen some pretty scary wiring up there ! Why don't you just continue the 6 solid down the RMC until you reach the jb/emt ? Is it a straight run ? For that...
