Sold the house.. Getting ready to start a new build. I won't be building the house, we will be hiring a contractor, but I'm going through some things in my mind is like to have done..

House is going to come complete with a 30x56 garage.

I'd like to be able to control the flood/security lights on the detached garage with a switch from inside the house. I'd also like to be able to control them from two locations - one in the kitchen, the other in the attached garage.

Is there a better way to do this other than running a wire to the detached garage?

With modern "remote switches" I thought I'd ask before we ran the wire.

You can always run it underground with schedule 40 PVC.

If u dont want to run the wire then you will obviously need wireless controllers...

If u wire them then u need 3-way and 4-way switches...and a whole lotta wire...
