Whats a good base and thickness for under the concrete polystyrene ?
Sand or class 5 ? And how thick ?
I live in central Minnesota, have a 40x50 polebarn. Already have 2" styro going 2' down on perimeter. Just figuring out fill needed inside.
I'd go with a 220v.
I go thru allot of A/C's at work (apartments).
I've had good luck with Amana's, then kenmores, then Frigidaires.
Worst luck I've had was GE's. All compressors went out around 3 years.
Too much insulation is just as bad as not enough. For a 2x6 depth the max you can put in is R21. Forget about the R30 idea.

Cutting with a sawzall is going to make a messy edge that your just going to end up cleaning up with a drywall knife anyways..
