    My little shop

I'll try an answer your questions the best I can. Where we live here in Wisconsin it is very hilly. We have a ridge that runs across the back of our 5 acres and the terrain rises from the front to the rear. When we built our home you could see the basement in full view from the front and in the...

    Radiant Heating questions

Sprint your garage is just a little bigger than mine. I'm at 1000 SQ FT. I have a 40 gallon gas hot water heater that can not keep up. I have it keeping the water warm 24/7 so it generally starts out in the 110 degree range when the thermastat calls for heat. I have 3 zones. The outside two are...

    My small garage...

The garage is an excellent work in getting the most out of what little you have to work with. And then putting a Mustang in it is just "the frosting on the cake". Nice job.

Living with Hydronic heating. My first winter.

Here's mine, but I only heat the garage. I wish I'd have known about this type of heat in '87 when we built the house. There are 3 zones. The center of the shop has one run of tubing, 400' I believe. The two outside areas have twice that amount of tubing and can be controlled but flow valves to...

The Viper Pit - Complete w/ Turntable!

Even Ripley is having a hard time with that one. It is really incredable.

    My little shop

Here's 2 pictures showing most of the heating unit and the manifolds for the infloor hydronic heat. I've used aluminum diamond plate thru out as an added novelty, but it works well. On the pull down attic steps I used the diamond plate along with some connecting rods instead of that wimpy...

    bmwpower's garage build

Well I'm coming in here late but you have a remarkable garage. I on the other hand am striving to get mine to that point. I want to do the floors next, when time and money allow. I also want to install a boiler/tank waterheater that can keep up to heating my entire building. Currently my 40...

Where do you store you lawn and garden tools?

I too have a seperate "little barn" for the lawn stuff. It's more a home for mice! I do keep the Deere in there in the summer, but in the winter with snowblowing the Deere is in the shop where it's more accessible and stays warm and dry.

Humid climate> damp garage> rust on everything!

A dehumidifier should help provided the garage doors aren't kept open for long periods of time. I have a problem when I wash cars in the winter and have since bought a dehumidifier and that controls the problem. I would see where all the moisture is coming from along with getting a...

Here's a few items that have the aluminum diamond plate. The window is hard to see but the ledge is where the aluminum is attached.

Wow, very nice to see someone so close. I too watched all those guys grow up here in Wis. Partied with **** so many times I can't remember. I was a regular at Slinger for years, seeing Alan, ****, Rusty and Matt beat and bang their way around there. Were just north and west of Milwaukee. About 12...

Thanks everyone, we enjoy very much. I'll try an answer your questions. The plastic sheet material was purchased at Menards, (local HD/Lowes). It is very thick, 3/32" I believe and it's a bear to work with because it's like a wet noodle. It's applied over the sheetrock with an adhesive that...

I guess I ran across the site a while ago I did not post but now that the garage is 90% done, or are they ever really done, I'll post some pics. I'm big on Fords as I was brought up in a home where Ford paid the bills. My dad was a co-owner in a small dealership here in Wis. I've strayed from...
