    Utilities easement?

The xformer near the main house is the only one on the property or near our place. It comes off the pole at the road, underground to the xformer. Otherwise they wanted to add more poles across the property and I didn't want the insightfulness of that.

    Utilities easement?

The new xformer is coming off the existing near our house.

    Utilities easement?

Yes there is an easement for the existing and it was on our plans when we parceled the 2 acres where the new home is going. Old to the new one is less than 270ft

    Utilities easement?

So there's a lot to unpack. The original "engineer" that came out and walked the proposed route with me and agreed to it, and there was no discussion of an xformer at the time. The first time anyone knew about it is when the sparky showed up to start trenching. The biggest issue was he just...

    Utilities easement?

The trench and pipe as already been dug an laid... When they took out our fiber line. The parceling was done back in January of this year and recorded with the county. All these contractors are handled by the project management team from the dealer and they've been hearing enough from me the...

    Utilities easement?

So before the the land split, we did have it surveyed for measurement and parceling including current utilities. No second survey had been done since then, not even from the power company. We are putting a stop to anything right now until everyone is on the same page. Also, the sparkies quote...

    Utilities easement?

We're in central Kentucky if it makes a difference... We are having a mobile home put on a 2 acre section that we parceled off due to county regulations with multiple dwellings and square footage limitations. All the land is in our name, and the power company engineer came out weeks ago and...

    Show your new tool arrivals

HD was having some good Ryobi deals last week or so, and decided that's what the "house tools" will be. Got 2x 4.0Ah batteries, a 2.0Ah and 510MPH blower for $200 Needed a blower for clearing the porch and blowing grass clippings off the driveway. Works great!

How to wire a 2 way ceiling fan on 3 way circuit?

Bought the wrong fan. These new fans with remote don't allow for light control outside of the remote. It's getting harder and harder to buy a standard fan and retain independent light control.

After heavy winter, roof leaking during spring storms.

Previous owner left a Foldgers can of screws that I imagine are what was used. Can I just swap the screw or should I go with a larger size?

After heavy winter, roof leaking during spring storms.

Yeah I've pretty much isolated the screws in the area. The truss to the right of the wet spots in the attic is a roof elevation change from above the laundry room and the main house to the garage side. And where the leak is from the edge of the roof up is a slope change on the main section of...
