It was the same price as the Dewalt... but really it wasn't, the quality is less and you're paying for the chop saw like base that it come with. I use the Dewalt (also 2 speed) at one of my jobs and it's way nicer, I would highly recommend it or the Porter Cable (which is owned by Dewalt).
Here's an update video addressing some safety and functionality issues... Bringing to completion this awesome portable band saw base/stand/cradle project.
Great idea! I'll have the hook rotate up to the side and out of the way so that it can be placed on the floor. And, I'll fabricate the tab with a slotted hole, (fastened with a wing nut) so it can hook onto table tops of different thickness.
I don't see why not. For the Milwaukee I would start at the instructable that I published in 2013. https://www.instructables.com/id/Keep-your-portable-bandsaw-portable-The-portable-b/ I think It's a good interface for that saw. Then you can add the new elements that you see in the video.
This is a 3 in 1 set up for a portable bandsaw. If you have been looking to make one or about to buy one definitely check it out. While it's a wall mounted/table top design, it can be used hand held at anytime without the use of tools. This design is something that's been progressively improved...
