Hey guys,
Some of you have seen my large vintage tool collection that I inherited. Over the past few months I've been cleaning them up. Well these have me very perplexed.
First I looked for a makers mark but they were very rusty so I set off to clean them up. I thought the ornate handles were...
These are my favorite style sockets that I have in my tool collection. Anerican quality at it's finest. I think I may need to start collecting a set. I have quite a few brands that don't do much for me but I see some people love them.
These are my tools, there are many like them, but...
I don't have a band saw but I suppose it could. You can see the channel on the one side of the jaws and the other jaw has 45 degree corners. The corner against the bottom has a bur on it from something being locked in at that angle many times.
These are my tools, there are many like them, but...
I inherited and was given a large quantity of vintage tools. While I've grown up working on cars and am familiar with most of the tools in these tool chests this one has stumped me.
It's some sort of press but for the life of me I can't figure out what it was used to press. The company name...
I was just wondering if anyone knew where I might look for rebuild kits. I hate to exchange them for the new junk they are selling.

Here's my oldest snap on sockets. 1929 and 1931. I have a lot of other Snap on tools but mostly the boring 1940's and newer Snap on/Blue Point stuff. With a few E and G date codes.

Ahh, a probation period. 100 seems a bit excessive. Maybe it's a trust thing, I get it, some people are shady...but no worries...I'm not here to rip anyone off. Here's a couple of pictures of something else these tools helped me build in my driveway. It started out as an old bread truck but now...
Hey guys...and girls. I'm new to the forum and already a few of you have been a big help. So I wanted to introduce myself, and my tools. I'll try to be brief.
I grew up with a dad that loved cars and motorcycles. I have old photos of me helping him at an early age. Then I had a stepfather who...
Nice..that's in great shape. I did a little more reading and it was the largest size combination wrench that Williams offered for a good amount of time. And you're right I can't imagine this being my daily use combination wrench and judging by the hammer marks that are on it I'm guessing it...
Quick question...I have a few of these monsters. But this one is marked special. Why was it special? I can't seem to find any information on the special marking.
