    Possible move to Suffolk county, NY

    Been here most of my life and dont know if I'd leave. Yes its costly but the salary's reflect that.Older homes are less on taxes.I my self just finished a 3 car garage and machine shop[took 3 yrs w the town,but got it done].     Sherman Williams has a nice website upload pics of the room and pick the colors to see what it looks like.Even to stripes and such.Spent many hours on there.

    bench grinder guestion

    Thanks 54ford good idea maybe even some sort of static cling plastic sheet. No guards installed because of size of the stuff I'm usually polishing,manifolds, blowers and such.Does any have pics of dust collector sys. hook ups on grinders?

    I use my 2 bench grinders A LOT,well 1 is a grinder and 1 is for polishing,and they make a mess,ecp the polisher,compound and buff threads everywhere.I polish manifolds on the side.I covered the wall behind said polisher with stainless but still can take hours to keep clean.With the building of...

    Worksurface ... butcher block or stainless

    Although I haven't gotten to the bench building stage, plans are calling for a few different surfaces.A nice laminate for precision assy. work, stainless or alium. for disassembly work and plain plywood for the hammern times.Sheets of alium.can always be changed.

    Thank you. Yes an addition to the house was done at the same time. On the rght hand side will be my machine shop. The addition to the house helps hide the windows from prying eyes[I live on a corner lot]
