    Gear Wrench warranty?

I recently went through the same thing back in Feb, which took about a month. From my understanding (I believe I read it on their support page somewhere), they're currently transitioning to a new warehouse and inventory system, and were sorry for the delays. It would have been nice to get some...

New Tekton Hook & Pick Pouch

That labeling is a nice quality of life. I would definitely consider it if I used my picks more often in the field. I've spent more on things I've needed less. :P

    Craftsman OVERDRIVE

Given that Stanley Black & Decker owns Mac and Craftsman, it isn’t too surprising. Cool for folks that want Mac wrenches but don’t want to chase around a truck.

ICON 11in Long Reach Needle Nose same as Matco?

They still may sell those, too. But here is a pic of their knockoffs that are the same as the HF Doyle pliers. They’re fine Taiwanese pliers, but not at Matco prices. I really hope some poor fella that doesn’t know better doesn’t warranty his Matco Knipex and get one of these.

ICON 11in Long Reach Needle Nose same as Matco?

Well, Matco sells the same Knipex cobra knockoffs that HF does (Doyle), so this wouldn’t surprise me.

    youtube channel on tools

CP made a video about how you can’t buy individual Icon sockets, and then deleted my comment correcting him. At the start of the video I am totally with him as he points out how annoying it is that you can’t buy singles in store, and how the website doesn’t list individual sockets. Where he...

    Ryobi Warranty is Trash

Unless something has changed, or my local HF is wrong, if you have any issue with the tool just bring it in and they’ll swap for another. They just check your receipt to make sure it’s within that warranty window.

    Ryobi Warranty is Trash

Yes, which is why I said TTI instead of Ryobi specifically. I’ve heard little positive about warranty service for Milwaukee, Ryobi, or Rigid. Haven’t heard anything about Hart. That said, I still use Milwaukee because the tools I’ve had held up well enough where the warranty hasn’t been an...

    Harbor Freight Pittsburgh Pro Ratchets

Pretty sure they’ve been Taiwan until now. I wonder if they have multiple SKUs, like the 1/2 Pittsburg impacts. Edit: they do have two. 62328 and 64937. I wonder if 64937 is still available and made in Taiwan.

    Ryobi Warranty is Trash

From my understanding, most TTI power tools have a less than stellar warranty process. While Milwaukee is my main line of battery powered tools, the two Ryobi items I have work well. Both are more utility items rather than tools (one is a fan, the other is a lamp/battery bank). I see them...

    Must have Snap On items?

Tekton is a great option here. They rebrand Trusty Cook, have a similar price, and a lifetime warranty.

    Knipex Warranty

I’ve heard mixed things about their warranty process. For that reason I overpaid by a fair mount by getting their Pliers wrench off the Mac truck (just has their stamping on the handle and head) since I figure it’ll be an easier warranty with my guy, and it’s a tool I’m pretty hard with.

    1/4" Impact Sockets: Use Case?

Guy at my shop has worn out a couple chrome 1/4 sockets from using it on his impact, but I don’t think that’s saying much since it took a couple years of daily use to do so, and a dedicated impact may have worn similarly. Since he can just warranty it with the Matco guy every couple years he...

    Front Fell Off!

Same… Edit: this is mine, and it was the first and last power tool I ever leant someone. A buddy was doing a project at his house, dropped it on the ground, and cracked the front housing. It still worked for another year before completely falling apart in the middle of a job.

    Tools are too cheap?

The Bremen quick release are the same as the Milwaukee, and are a darn good value with that 30% off. I seem to always buy another clamp or two when these coupons come out. Can never have too many clamps!
