I like your gate design, so is it completed now? If so, please post another photo or two. What kind of bender are you using? How about the hinge system?

My first welder was a Tombstone back in 1969...wish I still had it around. Creative use of that handle-Bravo!

The sliding clamp storage idea is solid. However, the turned up tip will reorient itself if fabbed with round tube. If each pair is connected the rotation would be prevented & the thing would pull out akin to drawer action. Good stuff for the neural net going on here...

Hot Chop Shop!! Wow you have a lot of clamps! I posted my welding table build in another thread, here is how I am storing clamps. You will obviously need at least another rail, or perhaps a long rail across the front. Before welding the tube(s), see how much space each size clamp needs to...

I was concerned with the vibration issue too. I fabricated the (angle iron) supports for the filter stack and rubber-isolated them. The connection to the compressor itself is bolted with no isolation. There is no problem with the stuff on the shelves at all (WHEW!). When I started the project I...

Another "Taking it into the Vertical" MOD. Once again space is precious in my garage workshop so I modded my air compressor vertically to incorporate a retractable hose reel, a couple of shelves for accessories and to upgrade the (weak) OEM filter/dryer setup. That's a prefilter, oil coalescing...

For Will S: all angle is 2"x2"x 1/8". Top is 1/8" HRS. MIG welded with .023 wire & 75 Ar/25 CO2. Under the top- 3 angle braces, equally spaced. I notched the cross braces so that the upper structure and the braces were flush to the top. OK guys, to prevent (preempt) any more...

Rolling table for welding and general use: 72"L x 30" deep. Plywood top pops off. Left side of the lower shelf is raised to allow my HogLift to fit under there. Vise support is a piece of 4" x 6"-1/4" angle iron as used for lintels. (support above a window when you are bricking). Each locking...

BoredMechanic: You wanted the dimensions of my TIG cart: 13.75" wide 57.25" high (from the ground) 26.75" deep 36.75" deep at the base, this is the extra depth needed for the tank But I arrived at all these by measuring (twice) exactly what I was putting into the cart. Allowing...

Been pretty busy. Built a new workbench, TIG cart, and a mod to my rolling air compressor. I wanted to have the welder control panel at a comfortable height, to protect the top of the 120CF Argon bottle & regulator, have room to coil the leads, store the foot control, house a toolbox that can...

Good cart! I appears that it can work as a hand truck or a conventional four-wheeler. One detail that I would suggest you consider. The strap holding the welder prevents access to the door on the side where (if it is anything like my Lincoln MIG) wire feed, wire reels and the settings chart...

Bravo Chad! The threat of litigation is a very real thing in our "modern" world. Can you imagine what could have happened should you ever have a failure of that hitch. During discovery, this thread might have surfaced. Damn, that would ****. Glad you thought this thing through, it says a lot...

I agree with NastyZen, if anything "needs" to be done, box in the ends. Especially if there are impact or off center loads applied to that roller.
