Would a vinegar soak discolor srewdriver handles and eat any markings that are not stamped?

I guess best to see what this can do and if not happy try a soak.

Would it be ok to soak say an entire screwdriver handle and all in vinegar solution? Would it fade a handle color or eat away the markings on handle?

Should i only be using vinegar on metal? and ok for any metal?

Or the plastic handles? or whatever they are. -not a tool guy really just have them-.........It wouldnt eat away any marking that are not stamped in would it?

What would be the best/cheapest way to clean old tools with surface rust? Sockets, Wrenches, Hammers, all that..I've heard of vinegar but i dont want to ruin anything.

Tool date guides for Proto Challenger and Blackhawk tools. Im new to selling tools for the most part and would like to know the age of tools i will be selling. Does anyone have links to date guides for these brands?

Am i allowed to refer ebay here? I seen rules on classifieds and unable. Im a top rated seller and 100% feedback and just figured it was better than just being a noob here trying to sell stuff. Please let me know and i will remove posts myself.

Yeah i thought about shipping cost and made them all either medium or large flat rate. I think that was probably best. I usually only do 7 day auctions but figured if its more of a collectors lot that a 10 day auction would benefit the final price. Thanks for all the info.

Maybe they are not old. I do not know. I will put more effort into doing sets for future posts. As far as cleaning them goes i am just so busy but i know they would bring more if i did.
