    Jeep, Thanks for the info/photos. The decal on mine is centered, but crooked, so I thought it might be a botched attempt at a fake - almost tossed it in the dumpster. It's too bad there's not more documentation on this WWII & pre-war stuff, it might save some innocent tools from an early demise.

    I've come across an S-K 1/4" drive set tool box that has hinges (as opposed to rivets). This looks like a beginners set with nine sockets, an amber spinner and little else.     I don't repaint my S-K toolboxes. I use a rust remover (usually baking soda with warm water). Then WD-40 (for the oil & grease) and wipe dry. Then Dawn detergent & warm water & towel dry.
