Very good point. I never really thought about the mini-split, but it seems to be better than my ideas about a rigged up window unit.

I think I might try that this weekend. The less black dust in the air for me, my kids, my pets, or my wife to breathe, the better.

One thing that might help you, which wouldn't fit in my limited space is to get a large plastic tub, cut out the bottom, put an air filter in the hole, and hook it up to the shop vac. It would only pick up the black dust if anything...
Yes. One of the wheels was out of balance. However, it was a good excuse for me to make the sander attachment, which is much more useful to me. After using it for a while, I am considering modifying it to take a 4" belt instead of the 2" belt I have been using.
I think I've got it figured out. I will put a "Y" near the vacuum intake, with one branch for wood dust. The other branch I will use for metal grinding. I'll use the bucket with water, like a water bong, to put out any hot metal. I'll use the magnet after that (GREAT idea, by the way). As...

I built...
I'm having issues with my computer today. Hoping this works better.
My Harbor Freight bench grinder started vibrating to the point of being useless. Instead of just replacing their crappy grinding wheel, I made a custom belt sander attachment. It'll be a lot more useful fabricating parts for...
Re: Dune buggy pics part 2/2
Well, I am learning as I go. Since I made the frame with mild steel, I think the motor will be a snow mobile motor, but I haven't committed to that yet. I have a few other projects to work on first, but the next thing for the buggy is going to be the suspension...
