    I've been buying crafstman rachets/tools I find at yard sales and flea markets... When you exchange a rachet now you get the cheap version that don't even rachet all that well with no load on them. We get this stuff now from China so that "American" companies/CEOs can make a few more bucks...

    Shouldn't there be jackstuds in the window opening? You've got one 2x4 supporting the header on each side, you could have 2 on each side with another stud in the window area.
