The car moved under its own power today. Got the exhaust all put together today, it‘s a little louder than I’d prefer, but it’ll be ok. My wife even helped out bleeding the brakes today! The engine tune needs a lot of work, and I need to work a little more on bleeding the brakes, but it sure is...

My pile of parts is getting smaller and smaller. With the help of a friend, I got the rear axle bolted up this weekend, cleaned it up and painted it last weekend. All of the new suspension and brake parts fit up very well. I’m still debating on whether or not to lower it down some more, I...

I’ve tried pretty hard to make it look like everything I’ve put on the car came right from the factory. I drove it into the garage as a 100% stock 1999 Mustang, when I drive it out, I kind of want it to look like the same thing. I used a lot of factory hoses and clamps with the engine swap, hid...

Moving towards the back end of the Mustang now. Have some subframe connectors welded in and working on the rear suspension now. Waiting for the pan-hard bar to show up before I put everything back together. Rear axle is at my mechanic’s shop getting different gears and new seals and bearings put...

Looks like his Coyote is going to be quite a bit more rowdy than mine with the big “air compressor” sitting on top of it. Maybe one day for mine, but I think naturally aspirated will be sufficient for my needs. These 99-04 Mustangs are probably one of the easiest to swap. I didn’t really run...

This whole ”Coyote Swap” thing is moving along pretty well. Have the engine in, plumbed, wired, it even starts! The engine really looks like it belongs.

It sure would be easier to do if I had a lift, but I don’t really want to dedicate the space for it. We use the shed for family get togethers, kid’s birthday parties, etc. and it would be inconvenient to have a lift in there for those things. I’m going to use a Ford ECU to run the Coyote. When...

Also been moving along on the Mustang. Finally…. Four months to the day, after I ordered my front suspension parts, I got them. I was able to piece the car together enough to get it outside and cleaned up while the motor was out. Just the other night I got the engine and transmission put in the...

I’m not really very good about updating this thread. Finally have the outside of the shop finished up. Built a little retaining wall between my shed and the neighbor’s garage. It will help rainwater flow away from both of our buildings better than it had before. I also finally got some grass...

Moving along on the “coyote swap” project. Have the old engine and transmission pulled, the new engine dressed up and ready to put in, and have a good start on the fuel system. Waiting for my new front suspension to come in so that I can get that all ready to set the engine into.

Help with wall color of "gray".

I used Sherwin Williams “Gray Screen” for my walls and ceilings. It’s pretty light, what I felt is a true gray. Looking it up now, it has an LRV of 59. The formula photo is from a sample, on the walls is a gloss paint. Lights are 5000k.

It’s been a while since I’ve updated this thread. I’m all moved in and finally able to work “in” the shop instead of “on” the shop. Check out the flag on the left of the TV, only 48 stars on that one, I found it in a different old house I bought a few years ago. Thought it deserved to be...

Ha, funny you should ask that. There won’t be one as a permanent fixture, but a temporary guest from time to time. Two years ago we were made aware that our town’s fire engine from 1946 was parked in a junkyard about an hour away. We got it home and running, but it still needs some work, a...

Even though the shop isn’t done yet, been able to get some “temporary” use out of it. We built my work’s homecoming parade float here, theme was “holidays”. Also, our fire station is getting some work done to it, so I hosted our bi-monthly training here. Had to go buy the TVs in order for...

Things are finally coming together. Only waiting for the HVAC guy to come and finish installing the backup propane furnace and air intake ductwork. He has the heat pump/AC going now. Once he’s done, I’ll be ready to do a little touch-up painting and move in. I did get my workbench built, stole...
