    Why I Buy Tekton

This is good to know Dave. I have bought some Tekton tools and I think they are nice. I am a fan of Craftsman as well. The major problem I had with Craftsman is their gimmicky tools. Most of these tools turn out to be junk. Few do find a break trough and go on to be a common tool. Extreme grip...

    SK round ratchets

I have the 3/8 diamond logo from Grandpa. These ratchets are great. Many very cheap knock offs mimic this design. This is as good if not better than many of the pearhead designs.

    Jumper packs, full size or...?

I found that keep up on battery replacement and load testing avoids the need most of the time for having a charger or booster Pac. I see people spending money on these things only to come to the conclusion of battery replacement. Good to have in that odd time of leaving your lights on and...

Ryobi introduces new cordless tools - belt sander, search light, trim router, pump

I have Ryobi and really like them. The batteries have a flaw in the small black lithium. They will drain down past the shut off and not charge. This is a glitch with the protection circuitry in the battery. Thanks to you tube I found a way the cheat these back to life. I researched cordless...

    Check your Tekton sockets

Tekton seems to be pushing hard to become a major player in the hand tool world. I like what I see from them. been tempted to buy their polished combination wrenches. I don`t need them LOL they sure look nice, They have reps who often weigh in on forums like this. I like their attitude. I...

My shop vacs NEVER last. Any recommendations on a shop vac that will last?

The motor housing on these things are made out of plastic. I wonder if the bearings are just sleave bushings as oppose to ball or roller bearings. Would love to Support Shop Vac brand as they are Usa Made. I think Rigid is the best bet. Emerson electric I think is the manufacturer for Rigid and...

USA made Craftsman "204 piece Mechanics set"

I have both the USA made Craftsman and the Chinese versions of their sockets. As much as I hate to admit it when comparing the sockets. The Chinese sockets have a better finish as far as chroming goes. The polishing and grinding on the ratchets the USA ones are nicer. I have the old 1980`s V...

    Craftsman screwdrivers/phillips?

Their screw drivers the red and blue handled one's are still US made. They are a good tool for the price. The new sure grip or whatever they call them the new black handled one's are made in China. The US made by Western Forge screwdrivers are nice.

Best deal on an 18 volt drill?

I have Ryobi tools, but If I could do over I`d buy DeWalt. Ryobi batteries are terrible. Not just the NICAD but the Lithium as well. I been through several battery failures. Shame because the Ryobi tool itself is good. Milwaulkee and Rigid are also made by ITT Ryobi`s parent company.
