    Rural King deals.

They sell metric hardware in bulk, $4-something a pound, lots cheaper than anywhere else in my area.

    Epstein Day 2020

My stuff came Friday afternoon. I'm really impressed with the Voltec extension cord, the only problem is now I realize I've never owned a decent extension cord before, all my other cords are junk by comparison.

    Epstein Day 2020

I placed my order the morning of 7/3, it shipped on Wednesday afternoon, and the tracking info says it will be here later today. :rocker:

    Epstein Day 2020

Man, with all the griping about shipping it would serve some of you guys right if HJE didn't do an Epstein's day next year. I for one was very pleased with what I got for the money I spent. And I'm a cheapskate. Jori et al, thanks for doing this for us, most of us appreciate it!

    Epstein Day 2020

My $150 order shipped via UPS for $30. I thought this was quite reasonable considering I bought a couple of oversize items and some heavy stuff.

NOCO Boost Plus GB40 1000 Amp 12V UltraSafe Lithium Jump Starte

I have that Suokai. I've used it to jump all sorts of stuff and it's never let me down. A few months ago my Suburban was dead in the water. I cranked it for probably a minute or two with only brief breaks. I knew I was abusing the jumper pack and sure enough, gradually the battery expanded...

    Decent saw horses

I've tried all kinds of saw horses, two kinds of metal ones (one wasn't sturdy, the other pinched my fingers), metal brackets you use with 2x4s (flimsy), and homemade wooden ones (heavy). A while back my buddy was cleaning out his garage and gave me a couple of pairs of these...

    Recommend me a splitting axe

Yep, the Fiskars splitting axes are awesome, I gave my maul and splitting wedges away when I got mine.

Anyone use adapters to other brand batteries?

I have a Dewalt 20v battery to 18v tool adapter and a Black and Decker 20v battery to Dewalt 18v tool adapter. Both are cheapies from China that I bought on eBay. They work well. I also made an adapter to run my old Snap On 18v impact off a Black and Decker 20v battery. I used the top of a...

    Chainsaw for carpentry?

I have a Prazi beam cutter attachment for my Skilsaw. It replaces the circular saw blade with a short chainsaw bar. I wouldn't use it for fine carpentry but it works great for cutting beams, cabin logs, etc.
