    New 30x40

RNN14Wolfe Id have to look back but I believe just the "Kit" was around $9k purchased not installed. That was with the metal trusses and bubble wrap, 10' brown doors. Cement is whats killer on budgets.

Re: New 30x40 (update) Little update...I finally got the cement poured to the shop and got my lights hung. Color matched some original Benjamin shades and filled them with some LEDs, wired to a motion sensor. Turned out better than I expected

Electrician recommended I don't add soffit lights...

I did them in our house last year....We live in the country (Alabama) and I haven't seen any issues with daubers or any other insects. Sounds to me like he just didn't want to do them

    workbench build

The bench is 8 feet wide. That section of wall and the overhead "platform" is 12 feet wide. Overall shop is 30x40 with 12 foot sides

    workbench build

I picked up two Husky tool boxes cheap the other day so I decided to build them into my workbench. I have a larger 3 level toolbox but wanted something at the bench to keep tools also. I used some wood I had left over from the shop build and pieced together this. Nothing fancy but sturdy enough...

    New 30x40

Had some time and made me a 12'x4' platform for some small storage...any floor space saved is a plus. Will add a LED under it and have my workbench below

    Thoughts on light shade color

The transom space issue has crossed my mind too...I may decide on doing a straight arm with a 90* turn down instead of goose neck to help

    Thoughts on light shade color

Don't get me wrong I love the green and being period correct but the house is also gray brick with brown and is a rocks throw from the shop so im afraid staying green will make the lights less appreciated in the since of them being odd in the color scheme. I like the antique white with silver...

    Thoughts on light shade color

So I picked up two old Benjamin lights today cheap. I'm going to refinish them and make some goose necks but I'm torn on the final shade color. These will be mounted over each roll up door and even though I love the green I don't think it will look good with all the brown on my building. I'm not...

    Main Panel on Metal Building

Local requirements for disconnect outside...the meter is “technically” a disconnect but can carry up to a $500 fee if used as one (locally)...so the main outside is pretty much a large over priced disconnect that I could utilized the space with 220 breakers. It’s actually a 200a Main with lugs...

    New 30x40

I operate a sign/lasering business on the side so some jobs will be in the shop from time to time, also have a 1930 model a ford project, small hobbies, etc. The doors are 10x10 roll ups. I went with grey/brown combo to match the house which is grey brick brown trim

    Main Panel on Metal Building

First you will need to find out from power company what their specifications are. Here I was required a minimum of 12' clearance from ground to weather head for pedestrian only traffic (15' for drive traffic) and they required meter base center between 4-5 feet from ground. Once that was...
