Gas causes white spot on garage floor

Thanks, this is helpful. Would you have any products that I could topcoat this with? Like a clear epoxy or polyurea? Would it adhere to the clear that is on there now if I cleaned and sanded it? Thanks!

Gas causes white spot on garage floor

Hi I used supercoat topped with their basic water based acrylic clear coat on my garage about 8 months ago. I spilled some gas (50:1) filling snow blower and when I went back to clean it up a few hours later there was a white residue that does not come up. So the gas has somehow reacted with...

    Epoxy Primer Box Store recommendation

Sherwin williams, ppg, Benjamin Moore may carry a high solids epoxy that you can thin with xylene. If you have any of those stores in your area you could call. But they may have to order it as it’s not carried in the run of the mill strip mall retail store always.

Too good to be true price quote

3500 is the approx price. at retail using armorpoxy with the GJ discount, that’s 575 per kit, will need 3 for 1500 sq ft. So round that up to 2000 to account for whatever additional supplies he might need. He’s clearing 1500. Has his own equipment. Does labor himself. Even if he put a few...

Will use SuperCoat 2-part epoxy. Is a primer...

I liked the super coat. Easy to work with, long pot life, inexpensive. I just installed it 3 weeks ago, so cannot speak to durability. I did two coats of base, medium flakes, top coated with their basic acrylic clear, two coats of that as well. I found the 250 per gallon to be right on for...

    Garage Renovation Project

I wanted to share a bit more about the floor. I did a lot of research and landed on SuperCoat. Good review, good price. We basically just park cars in the garage, so does not need to be too tough. Prep was a ton of work and I made some mistakes. I first cleaned and degreased no problem...

    Garage Renovation Project

Proslat is great. Looks very nice compared to pegboard. Easy to install. I cut it using compound mitre saw (they are 8 ft length and my wall is 7 1/2 feet) and that seems to work well. Proslat is not a panel, it’s interlocking strips aboit 6 inches tall. And each strip has to be secured to...

    Garage Renovation Project

So, I am redoing my garage, spent WAY to much time on this forum for ideas. But it's been super helpful so I wanted to share back what I am doing and the progress to date. First, the scope of the project: - Coat 15 year old, never before coated garage floor with epoxy, flakes, clear top coat...

Replacing Deck - Advice from the experts?

I went with Azek on recommendation of a friend that builds custom homes. He had problems with some of the other brands and said the Azek always looks good and hold up. My wife and I then went to the building supply store that carried all of the brands. We liked that Azek was not plastic trying...

Replacing Deck - Advice from the experts?

Another vote for Azek. We did Kona with a black wrought iron railing. Looks awesome. For fasteners, I did not like the idea of the clips, so used a hidden screw system calls camo. Worked great for me and it has a built in spacer on the tool that is handy.

    Help! Garage Floor Moisture

that is what i thought on the sealer. we've had drainage "experts" out and they said that it looks like water is up against the foundation and seeping through to the garage slab somehow, but they cannot find the source. all the grading etc looks good, and the slab is two to 3 feet above grade...

    Help! Garage Floor Moisture

I've been planning a project to coat my garage for several months now. Have been researching epoxies, polyureas, etc and ready to go, but found an issue. In one corner of my garage, a corner that is on the outside of the house (as opposed to connected to an internal wall) there is an area of...

NEW Basic Epoxy Low Odor Epoxy

Could you topcoat this with a clear polyurea?

At Loss - Leaning Polyurea, too many options?

I’m deciding too, why did he dump all over it? Cost? Thickness? Durability? Something else?
