    Concrete Coatings for Outdoors

Anybody have any suggestions for concrete coatings that hold up under UV / Outdoors? While this isn't a garage question per-se, I figured nobody knows concrete and coating it better than the folks here. I reached out to the sponsor here that does all the coatings (forget the name) but got no...

Help adding Line Level T.Stat to Electric Heater

There's no "cushion factor" in thermostats is there? (like you encounter when wiring a compressor motor) I ask because 5600W/240V is 23.3A. I've found a double pole rated for 25A. So, I'm thinking that should work- I don't think I need to oversize the thermostat. Is this correct? Shouldn't...

Help adding Line Level T.Stat to Electric Heater

That's kind of my question. A single pole stat only connects to one of the legs of the 240V circuit. Hence, it only ever receives 120V, or is that incorrect? It's kind of a moot question anyway- the Amperage rating is the same either way. I need a 23.3A rating and most of the local stuff...

Help adding Line Level T.Stat to Electric Heater

Hello everyone, long time lurker, infrequent poster. Finally bought a heater for my garage. Have been reading lots of threads, but still looking for a little guidance. I purchased a TPI Model HF686TC. 208/240V 4200/5600W. I thought about adding a simple DP line level stat to bypass internal...

    240V Line thermostat

What stat are yoou using? i have a 5600W heater and want touse a double pole stat, but having a hard time findins a stat locally with a high enough amperage rating. All I can find are max 22A which won't handle 5600 watts, much less the 7000 yours makes.

    Shed 8x12

You will need 7 trusses, not 6. Measuring from one end, you need a truss at 0', 2',4', 6', 8',10' , 12'. Might be worthwhile to call around and buy pre-fabbed trusses. If you've never done it before, it CAN be done, but is difficult without knowing a few tricks of the trade and having made...

Wall Mounted Thermostat for Ceiling Mounted Electric Heat

I've pretty much settled on a ceiling mounted Utility heater for my 24 x 28 garage. Ceiling is about 9'. Rather than use the internally mounted thermostat, I would like a wall mounted one I think. Question is, with the heaters that have fan delay, how would you wire a wall mounted thermostat...

    Experience with Drylok E1

I tried search but didn't find anything. 24x28 garage floor. 8 years old. Floated finish. Slippery when wet. Control joints in each direction- troweled in, not sawed. Does anyone have experience with the Drylok e1 product? Specically hot tire lift. This garage doesn't need to be a...
