    anyone actually tried metrinch

I have been using their 1/4" drive sockets for about 20 years I find them great especially as I come across a lot of sheaply made bolts and nuts here that standard metric and imperial sockets don't fit I did buy a few larger wrenches years ago as well but abandoned them

    The Sidchrome thread

Sidchrome indeed do seem to have two lines of shifters(adjustable spanners for non aussies) the Type 1 which are made by Irega but even these seem to have two quality levels the older one without size markings on the jaws seem to be much better quality. The Type 2 I have no idea where they are...

    Genius Tools

I have used Genius impact sockets for 15 years, 1/2" ,3/4" and a few 1" drive never had any problems at all. Recently I have seen their hand tools but as they do not offer anything I don't already have I cannot comment on those.

What an Australian Tool Collector might have in his toolbox

I have not tried one but anything would have to be an improvement on their previous ratchets , however I do see they have only short handles available 270MM (10.5") in 1/2" drive and no flex head.
