Replacement engine for gravely 36” walk behind.

Belt machine. Bet bet might just be to find another used I guess. Can be had for under $1000, just not something I had budgeted for.

Yeah. For $1000 or so right? I didn’t pay that for the whole mower. I’d contemplate it but that’s near not worth restoring a 20yo mower.

Replacement engine for gravely 36” walk behind.

Hoping someone here knows something I don’t. I got a used gravely walk behind a year ago, cuts great, ran like a top. Till it seized. Turns out it leaked oil pretty bad the last few cuts. Tried to save it and it’s toasted, so I need a replacement engine. The original is a Kawasaki fs481v...

    Between 265 & 485 SQ/FT Weisenheimer's Bicycle Haus

Honestly, I’ve had the itch to build an internal hub bike for some time now. Something about the simplicity, brings me back to better times. Maybe one day, I’m far too busy to do justice to owning more bikes these days.

The bar got its inaugural use the other night for a Christmas party. 4 of us guys sat around and smoked some scotch, drank a few beers. Odd observation, after smoking some Old Forester 1910 with some cherry. Opened up a modeling and it had a sort of tomato like taste, confirmed by the others. I...

Shoot bob, I didn’t know you had the.. well in any case I wish you the best of luck showing who is boss round those parts. Bad luck on the fall. Just recently lost footing with the hand truck, tried to use it to catch myself and it slipped further. At a point I just let go and plopped, little...

Kinda stuff I knew already. Give me anything where I can obsess over modding and setting up perfectly, I’m in. Those types of hobbies are usually expensive, so I’ve always been the poor guy on the outskirts trying to find a way in. Recently I’ve been able to find a bit more, it’s been interesting.

1940s garage is sagging - What's the best approach to attempt a fix?

We ended up putting some support braces to hold it all up, one corner at a time. Garage door remained lifted and locked into position, the lower rails just dangled until it was time to tie it all back together. Not for the average weekend warrior, it took a lot of redneck planning.

1940s garage is sagging - What's the best approach to attempt a fix?

sounds familiar and typical. I was part of saving a garage that was falling to one side. Opposed to what I had in mind, the master mind decided to tear the front off and build it where it had settled, crooked. Its stable, so no worries there. Basically, the entire front of the garage came off...

Progress on so many things of late. New vehicle that I’ll be holding onto for some time, lots of wood work. Fall has been back breakingly busy, winter should calm down a bit. The garage has another scratch build organizing table. I wanted a place for sprays and fluids. The storage room is...

Been so busy of late I haven’t had time for anything. I started sorting out the bench a bit, made some space for a new project, got working on the storage room (adding a bar in there as well) so just a quick update..

Walls are painted, sump pit has been set, now there is room to fit a car, more than enough for 3 bikes now. I have a bit of organizing to do, I want to find a solution for all the spray cans as well. It’ll be clean in short enough order.

The garage has half the lights wired, has a couple outlets, and now has a small workbench (if you could call it that). The garage might become very full somewhat soon. This was made entirely of scrap wood and that god awful huge bench I had moved prior. Add some peg board to the back, maybe a...

The older I get, the more I appreciate a good set of chisels. I barely ever used them except for the wrong purpose years back. These days with a better eye, I find uses all the time. I don't have any that are worth caring about, the eyes are open at swap meets, however.
