My 40SLMAX light has developed an issue. It will not light up unless it is plugged into an outlet. Also, the charge light does not light up when it is plugged in (to indicate that the battery is charging), but will turn red when the dial is turned on approximately 50% when plugged in. Any ideas?

I just went through this myself. The adapter is part number 1312100377. There are a number of sites online who stock it. The adapter is aluminum and came with a gasket and two sets of bolts.
