I have a physical file cabinet for the important documents and manuals that I cannot find digitally. The ones that are scanned or digital downloads are stored on the PC for easier search and reference. I'm more likely to do a quick search on the PC than dig through the piles of manuals in the...
During lock down times, I sorted everything while watching TV over the course of a few days. I reduced several cabinets down to one and can now find things much faster. If I had to do it again today, I'd just spend an hour a night or so sorting and combining parts until complete.
I sorted...
I've had fewer moochers as time goes on, but the best one I have found to use is a trade in time. I have a large yard that takes some time to mow. If I'm doing your project, I'm not mowing. So you mow my lawn and I'll do the project you need.
Not one time has anyone accepted the offer.
I have a similar CNC machine and have done some MFT tables in MDF and never saw any lifting. I also switched mine to use a 20mm drill bit or a 3/4" drill bit depending on the size of the dog hole system desired. That machined faster and seemed to give better hole results without the...
Another option would be to look for a shop with a CNC. I've used my 4x8 Shopbot CNC to plane plenty of large slabs. Flatten one side, flip over and flatten the other.
Many older retired guys with a shop have these machines and with a good step over on the router bit, can basically take the...
I ordered two packs of the blue panels a few weeks ago. I had to search for the blemishes on most of the panels. A couple seemed like they had slide the part on a table with some dust and marred the finish slightly, but I was looking pretty closely to see it.
Another two panels had a slight...
Mr. Roboto,
I see the pegboard appears to be behind the counter with a gap. What happens if you drop a tool? Is there a ledge to stop them from falling or no backs on the cabinets for access?
I have considered the same basic design with the metal pegboard, but I'm unsure of your cabinet...
I'm working on setting mine up this weekend, but had a 55 gallon leftover barrel from work and added a Dust-Rite cyclone kit. Decided the odd red color needed to be updated to something a bit more entertaining. The wife rolls her eyes, but friends either question the drum or laugh at the...
If you know someone with a CNC, it is even easier. When I made some tops, I just planed the edges that were to be glued together. I flattened the tops and bottom with the CNC and a mortising bit after the top was glued up complete. Hit with a light sanding after that and done.
If you find an awards or trophy shop with a laser, ask if they have any metal marking options. Cermark is the big name behind the material. It leaves a black finish that is very durable without cutting into the tool, but bonding to the surface.
I tend to use it on Stainless and aluminum parts...
