First question regarding an ammco brake lathe I have is what is this thing mounted below the power switch used for?
And my second question is regarding the rod sticking out the back of the lathe. I dont see any function for this rod and I would like to shorten it up so I can move the lathe...
Here is what I got...
We just built a new house in San Tan Valley, AZ. My garage is a 3 car tandem with 4 ft extension. We had the garage insulated above and beyond standard. I had the garage door insulated as it faces south and the hot AZ sun. I had it prewired for dual ceiling fans...
there is no coo markings on them and no stickers either. I didn't think to ask my mac guy either. After searching google they look more like the motion pro or sunnex versions than the Vin ones I had originally saw.

Some of my new stuff:
1. 1/4 hex bit holder bought from Lee Valley $15 shipped
2. 3 Sanp-On red ratcheting screwdrivers (all converted to accept the soft grip shanks. I have 2 more red ones in my 1/4 drive drawer that are converted to hold sockets.)
3. Mac Tools Spinner T-Handle for hex bits.
