I am actually quite surprised with the responses I am getting on here. But this is good news for poor people like myself. I think I will just go down to Harbor Freight and purchase a cheap clicker wrench. I will actually have access to one of those torque sensing extensions in a month or so...

I am curious as to what you guys think of these "cheap" clicker torque wrenches on the market...they all seem to be made by the same company in Taiwan. I know most of you would not trust these wrenches for anything critical...I am mostly just a shade tree mechanic and do not want to spend too...

This is the one bad thing about truck brand tools...you are at the mercy of your dealer for warranty. At least you have another dealer that you can obtain warranty through. Around here there is one dealer for each brand and only the Mac guy stops at the shop. Matco guy doesn't come around...

I just picked up a couple pairs of their "professional" pliers a couple of months ago and they seem to be holding up pretty well to everyday use. I also have a set of their metric deep impact sockets and they are also holding up very well. I think that some of their stuff is fairly good...

I will have to respectfully disagree with you on the items in bold. If the material stays in the elastic region these statements are true. But if the material goes past its yield point into the plastic region then the statements are not true. Once the material starts to yield it will no longer...

I am looking for both SAE and Metric...10-19mm and 3/8-1" or something similar. I am not too picky and will fill in where I need with individuals. Anybody have any experience with the Allen brand combo wrenches...they are Danaher and full polished, but not long pattern. Are they similar...

Thanks everyone! I was looking at the 24 piece set as tooltopia has them for around $100. I was thinking this was a good price if they were US made. I will keep looking around. I like the SK wrenches so I will probably try to find a decent price on them...any suggestions?
