Let’s talk combination wrench sets - SK - Proto - Wright - Milwaukee - Carlyle

One thing to keep in mind if what your working on if it matters if you mark up the fastener. If it does, then the SK set is the way to go. (not sure what other quality brands don't have the "grip" feature). If it doesn't matter, your crazy to get wrenches that don't have some sort of "grip"...

Let’s talk combination wrench sets - SK - Proto - Wright - Milwaukee - Carlyle

Unfortunately nobody (at least in my area) carries the “good stuff” I would order one of each brand your considering of a size you would need a duplicate of and see them that way firsthand. 9/16 worked for me...

Let’s talk combination wrench sets - SK - Proto - Wright - Milwaukee - Carlyle

I already had sets of wrenches but wanted to see the sk and Wrights, so I purchased a 9/16 of each. If I had to pick between the two, I would pick the Wrights. I’ve gotten all my Wright stuff from HJE.

    Question on extension ladders ....

You'll be fine. I have a aluminum 32ft that I've had for 20 years. Main reasons to go fiberglass is.. 1) weight rating- If your 150lbs, your good. 250lbs is another story 2) conductive/non-conductive- depending on usage near power lines, etc would be a reason to need fiberglass. Using it how...

Want to get a couple new ratchets

I'm not a "Snapon is the only brand to get" guy, but I have to say their ratchets and ratcheting screwdrivers are by far better than anything else I've used. Save your money on sockets, wrenches, etc. But if your in the market for a ratchet, they are well worth the money.... Hands down.

In my manual they have 1-800-833-4405 as a number to order parts.

    Waterloo Branded Toolboxes Still Exist?

That’s too bad if they stopped making their Waterloo line. I have the Waterloo HD edition and it’s the perfect fit between a box store brand and tool truck. For some reason they weren’t popular....

    Comments on Future Craftsman

Is it just me, but almost all the people that trash Craftsman for going overseas mention that they end up buying another Asian made brand. You would think they would move on to another US (Wright, Sk for example, Craftsman wasn’t the only US brand) It’s proof that Made In USA for the vast...

Help with TRX72 - very high backdrag

Looks like he just put the Super lube in the middle behind the main gear, not on any of the teeth. Does it actually end up on the teeth after use? Ratchet sounded dry to me after he put it together.

    Warranty on Sears Screwdriver?

I have never understood why the tool manufactures have lifetime warranty on an item that almost always gets abused. I wish Ford did that, I've put 202,000 miles on my F-150. I WANT A NEW ONE FOR FREE!!! Just kidding.... :)

    Wright warranty

I don’t work on equipment that I’m worried about hitting the button to release the socket, so for me needing a screwdriver to pop off the socket is just annoying...Maybe the next ratchet won’t be as stiff...the single hand direction change for me is just an additional bonus.

    Wright warranty

Yep, dual pawl. I’ve found for me, QR is the only way to go.... I can tell it’s a quality piece, if it had QR, I would look past the single hand direction capability...
